Just for fun

So Brandon and I were talking about little Peanut the other night and he seems to think said belly-dweller is a boy while I'm pretty sure she's a girl. We haven't made any formal bets yet, but it might be fun to hear what the rest of you are thinking.

I haven't posted in awhile so here's an update from Hyrum....

We bought a 2004 Tacoma 4-door pickup a few weeks ago. Its no fun having a car payment again, but its nice having a newer vehicle. We're still trying to sell our 1998 Pathfinder (they only wanted to give us a pittance for it as a trade-in). Unfortunately it seems nobody wants to buy an SUV right now.

I had jury duty for 3 days a couple of weeks ago and I actually liked it. It was a rape trial involving 16- to 22-year-old kids. I know they're not really kids anymore at that age but they seemed like kids to me. I could fill pages and pages telling you about it but just know that it was really interesting and I don't regret getting picked one bit.

We hired (!) painters to finish up the prep work (a bunch of sanding and caulking) and to apply the primer to our stairwell and TV room (the area at the top of the stairs). Brandon and I have been working in dribs and drabs on remodeling that area for the past several months but kinda got burned out. Its ready to paint - I just need to pick out the color(s). The reward at the end is that we get to buy one of them newfangled LCD TVs for football season. And speaking of football season, would any you be interested in joining Brandon's fantasy league? If so let him know ASAP.

Since we're spending so much on new vehicles and painters it was inevitable that the plumbing in our bathroom would decide to finally get plugged up beyond our ability to unplug it. A plumber came today and gave us a $500 estimate for replacing the "illegal" pipes, so we're now thinking that this would be a good time to go ahead and replace the old cruddy tub altogether. As you might imagine from all this, our plans to buy land are on hold for a little while since our land fund is being ransacked left and right. And who needs land anyway when you've got an LCD TV?

I'm bummed that we didn't get to come to Sami's birthday party and that I missed the baby shower. I love seeing pictures from family events, so don't be shy about sharing them if you've got them!

Love to you all....

I have $5.00 that says it's a girl.

I'm also leaning toward a girl child, for no apparent reason. We will be thrilled with whomever emerges. I hope that Melissa is still feeling OK, though uncomfortable goes without saying.

Chris has requested a boy, He's had quite enough of girls with a sister and almost sister cousin.

Just to even things out a little DJ thinks it will be a boy.

As much as I adore the young ladies in my life, they are a handful so my vote is for a boy.

Sami would like a girl and if sheer willpower can control the universe it will be a girl. It should be noted that Sami's will has on a number of occasions changed the course of the universe.
