Happy anniversary to Michele and D.J.! I hope that you will be celebrating and enjoying all the memories of the past 12 years. We have the exer-saucer ready to return to you, or Renee, one of these days. I hope they're getting along OK without it . We also have a Douglas fir seedling that we got at the Arbor Day tree sale last Saturday. If you can think of a place to plant it, Pop thought that Chris and Sami might enjoy planting it and caring for it. He took it out of the plastic bag that it was in and potted it.
Melissa, we were thinking of you on Saturday and we're anxious to hear how everything went with the ultra-sound.
Julie, were you able to let go and drop off Gavin at the day care place today? I'm also anxious to hear how that went!
Things aren't going so well with Linda the caregiver. She seems unable to adapt to Gram getting up so many times during the night to go to the bathroom. She feels that it's affecting her health since she can't get 4 or 5 hours of continuous sleep. I can relate to that. Sleep deprivation can really drag you down. Gram thinks that she can just take little naps during the day to compensate, but it's not the same. Dan at the agency is looking into whether he can find someone else who can deal with those kinds of sleep patterns. I'll keep you all posted.
I get to have some periodontal surgery on Thursday, where they cut into your gums and dig down to clean out around the tooth roots and then stitch it all back together. I'll be working 5-10 and then having this done at 11:30. Maybe I can sleep through it :-)
We're not happy with our cold, rainy (snowy?) weather. I marvel at the fact that our weather was so perfect for the entire week that the Chards were in town and then went down the tubes. Pop thinks that 20 degree temperatures predicted for tonight will do in the lilac flowers. Might also affect the apple trees and the crab apple trees.
All for now. Hope you're enjoying life.
Love, Mom

Happy (belated) anniversary, DJ & Michele! And Happy (advance) May Day, everyone!
Day care went really well on Monday and Gavin is back there today. He was smiling when I dropped him off both times and Natalie was making him giggle up a storm when I picked him up on Monday. I don't know what I'd do if he acted at all like he didn't want to be left there. It would break my heart! So I guess it's a good thing we're starting him now instead of a few months from now when he'll be more mommy- and daddy-oriented.
What's the latest on Linda?
And where's the Peanut pics, already!?!?
Oh - and GOOD LUCK with your surgery on Thursday, Mom! It doesn't sound like much fun. I hope you at least get to eat ice cream afterward.
