Samantha Wood Worm Rescuer

We have been getting a lot of rain around here. Lots of rain means lots of displaced worms. Dear compassionate Samantha has taken it upon herself to help the worms that are trapped on sidewalks, driveways and roads back to the grass. Her efforts are a little humanitarian and a lot self serving. The worms offer a great excuse to run around in the rain and splash through puddles.

Worms are VERY important creatures! Hooray for Sami for looking after them. Here's a fun place you can learn more about worms - http://urbanext.illinois.edu/worms/index.html

One time I went to a party and they had worms in soil as a treat to eat! They put gummi worms in chocolate pudding with crumbled up chocolate cookies mixed in. It was really gross and really yummy all at the same time.

If you are feeling nostalgic, and there is a Friday's near you, dirt and worms is served there. It is only on the kid's menu, so you may have to ask Gavin to order it and then sneak a few spoonfuls when he is not looking. It is a favorite dessert of Chris and Sami.

Sami can come here to save our worms - with all the rain we're getting today, there are worms everywhere!
