party time...

Hello, here are some pictures from my first birthday party. It was a surprise. Mommy & Daddy did a great job keeping it a secret because I had no idea what was going on, but it was so much fun! If this is what parties are like I can't wait until my second birthday! I really enjoyed my birthday cupcake. I think I did a pretty good job devouring it. Life would be so sweet if I could eat cupcakes all day long. :) Mommy has been trying to post a video of the cupcake action, but it's not uploading, so she posted a couple pics instead.

I got lots of nice presents. New clothes, books, a baby, a bench, a ride on princess car and a lion to help me walk, to name a few. Thank you to everyone!

Nana and Papa Go to Town

Early on Sunday, August 16, Nana and Papa packed some sandwiches, granola bars and fruit in their day pack and got on the BNSF train from Naperville to the big city of Chicago. From there they got on the 124 bus to Navy Pier but got off before that destination so they could walk a couple miles to Millennium Park to view the new sculptures. How nice thy were. A little weird but nice. From there they decided to walk to Navy Pier but got sidetracked on a walk out along the Chicago River to view the Centennial Fountain and Water Arc. First time they had seen the arc in person. That accomplished they walked another long way to the Pier where they were able to get some good seats to watch the air portion of the Air and Water Show. It was a long, tiring, fun day but Nana sill looked as fresh as the daisies planted at the pier.

I miss you, family!

It was wonderful to see you all and we hope we can do it again sooner than later. It did my heart good to see Gavin getting re-acquainted with his cousins, his Aunts & Uncles, and his Nana & Papa.

11 months

Good afternoon! Today I'm 11 months old! Unfortunately, I woke up with a cold. :( Hope I'm not sick for long.

I've been so busy since my last entry. I'm crawling all over the place and am cruising the furniture too. I learned how to climb stairs, clap, wave, pick my nose and grind my teeth.

I'm eating all big people food now and have a great appetite. I really liked the beans from Grandma and Grandpa Wood's garden. Any way I can get more???

I have my 2 front top teeth and 3 on the bottom with another coming in.

I out grew my infant car seat because I'm too tall, so now I have a new big girl chair. It's pretty comfy.

I have fun chasing Chloe and Fuzzball, going to the pool or splashing around in my sprinkler pool and going for bike rides. I also like reading, playing with toys and trying to catch bubbles. The trouble is, they always pop!?!

My Daddy is doing much better, but is not yet 100%. I'm happy he didn't have to go to the hospital. :)

Can't wait to play with Gavin.
