Chris Wood 2nd Degree Black Belt

I got my 2nd degree black belt on March 4th, 2010. It was hard work but I got it. It was fun. I had to know my form, the lower belt forms and two weapon forms, break two boards and spar. I am happy and excited. To test again for my third degree I have to know my form, two double weapon forms and break three boards. I was a first degree for a little over a year before testing for my second degree and I need to be a second degree for two years before I can get my third degree. I go to class five days a week and to a total of seven classes a week. Being a second degree is very fun I get to learn new forms. I've been in Tae Kwon Do for more than six years.

Sam's First Communion

On April 24, I made my First Communion. I was happy. The priest sang a song and he asked some of the kids who had their First Communion three questions. I was one of the kids the priest picked to sing with. Then the kids asked their parents. The questions were Do you love Jesus?, Do you really love Jesus?, Why do you love Jesus?.

After my First Communion, we had a party at my house. Some of the kids played outside and I saw my friend Liam playing outside. We had pizza and cake.

More Eggscitement with the Viator's & Flaherty's

Today was Easter Egg Dying at the North Aurora Wood's. A grand and messy time it was. The kids got to color all the eggs, the floor, the table and the bathroom. Nana got to clean up the floor but will the table ever come clean?

Hello there! This is Mom, just to let you know that Aunt Dade (Hazel Reuter) passed away yesterday evening. She was my father's sister, and she outlived him by 64 years. She was 94 1/2 and her mind has been failing for a few years. What's really sad is that her daughter, my cousin Linda, just lost her husband to cancer on the 5th of this month after a very lengthy illness. I have no other details. I found out on Facebook!

The Wood families meet the bunny at the Devonshire Easter party. Lots of fun was had by everyone. Thanks go to grandma Signer for inviting us.
